City Council meeting of May 17, 1993 <br />Page 4 <br />these tasks for the City for approximately five years, and will be doing <br />the work at the same rate as 1992 - $25.00 per hour for mowing and $15'00 <br />per hour to empty barrels. <br />Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, that Mr. Floyd Laska be hired to <br />mow the City park and empty trash barrels on City property for 1993' He <br />is to compensated at $25'00 per hour for mowing and $15.00 per hour to <br />empty trash barrels' <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Webelo leader, Jim Compton, addressed the Council asking for their <br />financial support to plant trees around the City park' The scouts would <br />like to purchase 15 trees, plant them around the park, and be in charge of <br />their maintenance for the year. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, authorizing the purchase of 15 trees <br />by Jim Compton, Webelo scout -troop leader, for placement around the City <br />park. Cost of project is not to exceed $500.00' <br />. ' <br />All aye' Motion Carried. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the proposal for <br />geotechnical exploration for the proposed trunk watermain between 142nd <br />Street North and 128th Street North, at a cost of $39000.00. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Dave Schnider wrote a letter to the City Council regarding the variance <br />approved for his neighbor, Dave Yost. to construct a garage 4' from the <br />side property line. Schnider objected to the variance, and felt that he <br />was not afforded an opportunity to voice his objections to the Board of <br />Zoning Adjustments. After a lengthy discussion, and review of the City's <br />zoning ordinance, the following motion was made: <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, that the City Administrator contact <br />Mr. David Yost stating that he needs a Special Use Permit to construct an <br />accessory building exceeding 240 square feet' <br />All aye.
