Hugo, Minnesota Parks and Recreation Open Space Commission Meeting <br />Minutes May 14, 2003 <br />Page 2 <br />Master Trail Plan for the Hardwood Creek Trail. Mr. Rask noted that Washington County <br />would be surveying trail users and attending a future Parks Commission meeting to share <br />their findings. <br />V. Update and discussion of potential park sites <br />The Commission discussed potential park sites, including the potential of acquiring the <br />Oneka Ridge Golf Course. Harlee Anderson, representing Oneka Ridge Golf Course, was <br />present and discussed his interest in selling the course to the City. <br />The Commission also discussed several other potential sites. <br />VI. Discuss trail along Oneka Lake Boulevard <br />John Rask informed the Commission that residents of Sweet Grass Meadows and Oneka <br />Lake View have requested a trail along Oneka Lake Boulevard extending from Goodview <br />Avenue to Geneva Avenue. Upon discussion the request, the Commission recommended <br />that staff study the feasibility of the trail and present its findings back to the Commission. <br />VII. Park Master Plan Update — Summer Intern <br />John Rask informed the Commission that the City Council approved the hiring of a summer <br />intern to assist with summer projects, including the update to the Parks Master Plan. <br />VIII. Updates: <br />The Commission received updates from the Planning Commission, City Council, and CD <br />Director John Rask. <br />NEXT MEETING: June 11, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. <br />LOCATION — CITY HALL <br />
