IV. Discussion on Athletic field Fees <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner presented on the option of adjusting the current rental <br />fees at the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park and as well as implementing permits with a <br />minimal charge for tracking baseball field use. <br />Proposed: <br />Hanifl Fields Athletic Park: <br />City of Hugo - no Fee <br />School Districts - no fee <br />Athletic Organizations affiliated with the School Districts and City -Based non-profit <br />organizations of Hugo for youth - $3,250 per full-sized field $2,750 per U11/U12 field <br />Adult and other- $75 per hour per field <br />Baseball Fields: <br />City of Hugo - no fee <br />School Districts - no fee <br />Athletic Organizations affiliated with the School Districts and City -Based non-profit <br />organizations of Hugo for youth - $10 per day <br />Other - $30 per day <br />Taylor made a motion, Larsen second to approve Hanifl Fields fee schedule with an <br />amendment on $40 daily for other use. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried <br />Larsen made a motion, Birch seconded to approve the baseball field fee schedule with <br />request to re-evaluate in one year. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />V. Concept Planning for the Future Park <br />Pete Pederson representing the Lions Club informed the interest for long range <br />development of Lions Park. Each year the Lions hold more community events and the <br />need for an additional structure has been discussed. The Lions Cub is interested in <br />donating/investing $35,000. to build a park shelter if the City will help match funds. <br />Taylor made a motion; Berger seconded directing staff to develop a master plan of Lions <br />Park. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />Commission Members included discussion on MORC. Commissioners agreed that a <br />master plan needs to be determined for the Park at Irish Avenue before direction can be <br />given to MORC. <br />-2- <br />Parks Commission <br />November 10, 2010 <br />
