(Prior Code, § 180-030) <br />Sec. 54-22. - Special permit. <br />Upon application in writing by an individual or organization made to the city council <br />prior to a planned event, the city council may, in its sole discretion, grant a special use <br />permit for more than one day's extension of hours for use by that individual or <br />organization. The city council may condition the granting of any such special use permit <br />upon specified conditions including, but not limited to, posting such financial security to <br />protect against damage or cleanup, as may be appropriate; placement of sanitary and/or <br />refuse connection facilities; provision, for supervisory or security personnel; cleanup <br />requirements; insurance or such other conditions as may be deemed necessary in the <br />circumstances. The mayor, acting mayor, councilmember, or designated staff may issue a <br />permit for one day only, subject to all other conditions of this section being met. There <br />shall be no fee for a special permit. Upon rejection of any application for a special permit <br />for any applicant, that applicant shall be prohibited from making reapplication for a <br />similar special permit for a period of three months after the date of such rejection. <br />(Prior Code, § 180-040) <br />
