minutes <br />Parks Commission, City of Hugo <br />September 14, 2011 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Call to Order <br />Present: Roger Clarke, Kris Birch, Mat Rauschendorfer, Noel Schmidt, Dave Strub, Jim <br />Taylor <br />Absent: Rachel Berger, Tom Windisch <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />Jim Taylor started the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />I. Approval of Minutes from August Meeting <br />The minutes of the August 10, 2011 Parks Commission meeting were reviewed and no <br />changes required. <br />Presentation by Bov Scout Michael Marier <br />Michael Marier, addressed the commission with request to plant 8 — 15 trees at Heritage <br />Ponds Park for his Eagle Scouts project. Marier has offered to ask local businesses for <br />donations and will coordinate Boy Scout volunteers to help complete the work. He also <br />suggested doing a wood working project to house doggie bags for park goers to <br />encourage pet clean up at a park. <br />Dave Strub encouraged Marier to plant the trees in locations that provide shade. <br />Jim Taylor thanked Marier for speaking to the Commission. <br />-1— <br />Parks Commission <br />September 14, 2011 <br />
