Athletic Facility Projects Since 1998 Athletic Facilities Study 1999 — Otter Lake Elementary ball field renovation. Funded mainly through the Fastpitch Softball Association. Added two additional fields with all four fields now irrigated. 1999 — Vadnais Elementary School ball fields were renovated in partnership with the City of Vadnais Heights. Two small fields were improved with irrigation and grading. 1999 — White Bear Township added an irrigated soccer field at Columbia Park. 1999 — Complete renovation of South Campus practice field area. Grading and irrigation. No new fields were added. 2001 — White Bear Township Polar Lakes Park completed. Four irrigated baseball fields (two lighted) and two lighted, irrigated soccer fields. 2001— City of White Bear Lake renovated Podvin Park. Took out one softball field and replaced it with two lighted, irrigated football/soccer fields. 2001 — City of Hugo created Beaver Ponds Park. One mid size irrigated soccer field. 2001— Louricas fields renovated. Two softball fields were removed and the area was graded. Due to high water table this area is not suited to irrigation. 2002 — Central Middle School fields renovated. Area was graded and irrigated with no fields added. 2003 - Sunrise Park Middle School fields graded and irrigation added. Playing area in northeast comer was added. 2004 — City of Vadnais Heights renovated Berwood Park to include an irrigated ball field and full size soccer field. 2007 - Full size gym added at Oneka Elementary School in partnership with the City of Hugo. A baseball field and two — three soccer areas were also added. All with irrigation. 2007 — City of Hugo created Diamond Point Park. One small irrigated ball field. 2008 — School District ball fields at Bellaire, Lakeaires, Parkview (Matoska), ALC, Lincoln, Birch, Willow and two at South Campus were renovated with new backstops, aglime, benches and fencing. 2008 — City of Vadnais Hts. Added a picnic shelter to Kohler Meadows Park. 2009 — White Bear Township adds irrigation to the "lower level' soccer fields at Polar Lakes Park. 2010 — City of Hugo created Hanifl Park. Five full size irrigated soccer fields shared with four school districts. 2010 - YMCA remodel — City of WBL, WB Township WBL Area Schools are partners. 2010 — City of Vadnais Hts. Partners with private non profit to create the Vadnais Sports Center. Two ice sheets and indoor multi sport dome. Also built a new warming house with an outdoor rink with portable boards at Community Park. 2010 — City of WBL renovated the Stellmacher Park ballfield. 2011 — City of Vadnais Hts. regraded and expanded the socceribaseball areas at Westfield Park. 2012 — City of Vadnais Hts. added lights to the tennis courts at Kohler Meadows.
