BACKGROUND: <br />The Parks Commission and City Council included in their 2013 to evaluate a dog park. <br />At their meeting of February 13, 2013, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space <br />Commission outlined future discussions. Next steps include evaluation of location <br />options, master plan development, neighborhood meetings, and community -involved <br />construction of the park. <br />2. LOCATION OPTIONS: <br />Options for consideration of the location of the dog park are varied. Some are properties <br />that are currently city -owned and some options would require the purchase of additional <br />land. The property characteristics are also vaned, leaving a wide range of options for <br />consideration. Additional options could also be evaluated. Here are the options for <br />evaluation at the meeting of March 13, 2013. <br />North Water Tower Site <br />The City of Hugo owns approximately 3 acres in the Creekview Preserve Neighborhood <br />that is the current and future location of the north water tower. <br />Goodview Avenue Site <br />The City of Hugo owns 2.35 acres of property on the west side of Goodview Avenue, <br />south of County Road 8.
