III. Lions Park Planning Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner presented the Lions Park Master Plan and recapped previous discussions about the plan. Taylor made a motion, Brenner seconded to approve the Lions Park Master Plan. All Aye. Motion Carried. IV. Irish Avenue Park Plannin Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner reviewed the history of Irish Avenue Park which included resident meetings, mowed trails, groomed cross country ski trails and groups who have address the parks commission on use for this property. Parks Commission members had an open discussion for use of the park with the need of determining a master plan. Discussion included figuring out a vision for the park, and doing some preliminary work with the community, before hiring a consultant to plan the park. Strub requested staff to provide copies of the comprehensive plan, White Bear Lake Athletic Facility Study and other resources for the Parks Commission. V. Park Rules Scott Anderson, Public Works Director discussed current vandalism issues and late evening activities regularly occurring at some of the parks. All Commission Members discussed park rules and hours. Strub made a motion, Rauschendorfer seconded to amend the Public Conduct in Parks Ordinance to include the wording of "or hours as posted". All Aye. Motion Carried. VI. Recreation Programs Update Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner encouraged Parks Commission members to form a team and participate in the Tour de Hugo bike ride on September 14, 2013. Registration has 130 enrolled with more expected to sign up and register the day of the ride. Movie night/Bonfire in the park is Friday September 27"', 2013 at the Hanifl Field Athletic Park. VII. Recognition of Kris Birch Jim Taylor thanked Kris Birch for his years of service and presented him with a recognition Certificate.
