Minutes <br />Parks Commission, City of Hugo <br />February 26, 2014 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Call to Order <br />Present: Rachel Berger, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub <br />Staff Present: Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />Absent: Joan Benner, Jim Taylor, Tom Windisch <br />Rachel Berger called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm. <br />I. Approval of Minutes from January Meeting <br />Strub made a motion, Schmid seconded to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2014 <br />meeting. <br />All ayes. <br />Motion carried. <br />II. Fox Meadows Park Dedication <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner, presented a proposal from Meridian Land Company to pay <br />park dedication fees in the amount of $136,800 in lieu of dedicating land. Meridian Land <br />Company submitted a preliminary plat application for 57 single-family homes to be known as <br />Fox Meadows. It is located on 21.97 acres south of Beaver Ponds. Fox Meadows will be <br />served by Beaver Ponds Park and will include trail connections to existing trails in Beaver <br />Ponds. <br />Rauschendorfer asked about a trail on 1251h Street North and future road improvements. <br />Strub made a motion, Schmid seconded to accept the park dedication as proposed. <br />All ayes. <br />
