Background <br />Parks Commission Meeting of November 12, 2014 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />7:00 pm Approve Minutes from March October 8, 2014 Meeting <br />Staff recommends approval of the minutes of the Parks Commission meeting of October 8, <br />2014. <br />The minutes are attached. <br />7:05 pm Lions Park Planning Update <br />A stakeholder meeting was held on October 14, 2014. The stakeholders reviewed the previous <br />concept plan which was not approved and does not include the recent land dedication. The <br />stakeholders also looked at the existing park conditions, identified park development goals, and <br />outlined a tentative project schedule. <br />Please see the attached stakeholder meeting minutes. <br />7:20 pm 2014 Annual Report <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner, will present the City of Hugo Parks, Recreation, and Open <br />Space Commission Annual Report for 2014. <br />7:30 pm 2015 Goal Setting <br />Bryan Bear, City Administrator, will provide an update on the City of Hugo and lead the Parks <br />Commission in setting goals. <br />Attachments include the 2014 Goals. Please reference the Parks Plan in your binder, if needed. <br />8:40 pm CIP and Budget Update <br />A draft of the 2015-2020 Capital Improvement Plan has been put together with the assistance of <br />Finance Director, Ron Otkin. It is based on the Special Parks Fund, the projected parks tax levy <br />and the previous CIP set by the Parks Commission. The Parks Commission has been given the <br />authority to make recommendations to the City Council about what the Special Parks Fund shall <br />be used for. The CIP prioritizes improvements that the Parks Commission would like to make. <br />Improvements identified as "unfunded" may be possible if additional funding becomes available <br />through grants, private donations, or park dedication fees. <br />
