Background <br />Parks Commission Meeting of February 25, 2015 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />'-"^ -'7— Approve Minutes from December 10, 2014 Meeting <br />Staff recommends approval of the minutes of the Parks Commission meeting of December 10, <br />2014. <br />Please see the attached minutes. <br />7:00 prr Approve Minutes from January 15, 2015 Meeting <br />Staff recommends approval of the minutes of the Parks Commission meeting of January 15, <br />2015. <br />Please see the attached minutes. <br />7:05 pm Presentation of the Lions Park Preliminary Plan <br />Candace Amberg, Senior Landscape Architect with WSB and Associates, will present the <br />preliminary master plan drafted for Lions Park. Amberg will lead a discussion and gather input <br />on the main park building, combination and location of recreation amenities, a memorial, <br />vehicular circulation, parking, and pedestrian circulation. Staff recommends that the Parks <br />Commission discuss and make recommendations for a final master plan. <br />7:4.5 nm Park Dedication Policy Review <br />At their meeting of November 15, 2010, the City Council made changes to the Park Dedication <br />Policy. It was requested that the policy be reviewed after four years. At that time, the policy <br />was changed to include a matrix to calculate land dedication based on density, remove the <br />requirement for commercial and industrial development, and to add an appeal process. Staff <br />does not recommend any additional changes be made to the Park Dedication Policy at this time. <br />Please see the attached memo and policy. <br />8:15 pm Summer Program Plar <br />Parks Planner Shayla Syverson will present a review of 2014 programs and a plan for summer <br />2015 programs. <br />
