Minutes <br />Parks Commission, City of Hugo <br />May 13, 2015 <br />7:02 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Call to Order <br />Present: Cinde Morris, John Pontrelli, Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson, Mat Rauschendorfer, <br />Nicole Schmid, Tom Windisch <br />Staff Present: Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner <br />Rachel Juba, Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />I. Approval of Minutes from April 8th, 2015 Meeting <br />Strub made a motion, Tennyson seconded to approve the minutes of April 8, 2015 Parks <br />Commission meeting. <br />Aye: Morris, Pontrelli, Strub, Tennyson, Rauschendorfer and Schmid <br />Abstained: Windisch <br />Motion Carried. <br />II. Clearwater Cove Conceat Discussion <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner presented a concept plan for Clearwater Cove for discussion. <br />The plan included 89 single family homes on 41.5 acres. The developer is proposing to build a <br />park, pay full park dedication, and construct several trails. <br />Mike Suel, representing D.R. Horton, discussed that due to some challenges with the property, <br />they will be asking for some flexibility in their PUD. He shared that they have included parks in <br />other residential developments and intend to that again. There would be trail connections, a <br />playground, and a basketball court/foursquare area. <br />Strub and Windisch requested parking be considered near the park and Commission members <br />agreed. The Parks Commission shared positive feedback on the proposed trails and park <br />concept. <br />
