Strub made a motion, Schmid seconded to accept Burke as the vendor with a preference for the second <br />option they presented. Staff was also directed to meet with Burk to determine final design with a <br />budget of $70,000 with the help of the neighborhood. <br />In All Aye. Motion Carried <br />Denaway requested discussion on the park name. Len Pratt, of Pratt Homes, had proposed McCollar <br />Park, in honor of the former property owner. Windisch requested revising the naming policy if changes <br />were needed. <br />Bridget Kamas, Fable Hills Home owners Association Board Member/Resident said surrounding residents <br />are happy to be getting a park and neutral in the park naming process. She stated a preference for not <br />having an addition thing in the neighborhood be named "Fable Hill". Pratt, reported that the name <br />requested was choosen to represent the original land owner's historical significance and family legacy. <br />Pontrelli made a motion, Tennyson seconded to name the park McCollar Park. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />Strub made a request to Pratt donate a plaque which would explain the significance of the name <br />McCollar Park and its connection to the park. Pratt agreed and also spoke of hosting a park grand <br />opening to honor the McCollar family. <br />4. Update on Irish Avenue Park <br />Denaway updated on the complaint letter received March 19, 2016 regarding the remote control car <br />track at Irish Avenue Park with gas powered vehicles using the track and noise issues. <br />Park Commission members discussed current minimal use of the track, lack of other complaints being <br />received, and the urgent need to improve the park signage. <br />Direction was given to improve the current park signage and to encourage Washington County Sherriff <br />Department to continue to monitor park activities. <br />5.
