DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of an interim use permit for a home occupation for a brewing <br />operation at the property located at 9480140t" Street North. The property is 40 acres and is located <br />in the Agricultural zoning district. <br />2. LEVEL OF CITY DISCRETION IN DECISION-MAKING: <br />The City's discretion in approving or denying an Interim Use Permit use permit is limited to <br />whether or not the permit meets the standards outlined in the Comprehensive Land Use <br />Regulations. If it meets these standards, the City must approve the interim use permit. <br />3. BACKGROUND: <br />In the Spring of 2016, staff began a discussion with the applicant in regards to operating a beer <br />brewing process on his property located at 9480 140t11 Street North. The applicant has described <br />his business as a start-up, but wants to plan for future growth, and therefore is asking for flexibility <br />on some of the general home occupation standards. This is permitted since the applicant resides <br />within the rural area of the City. <br />The applicant has stated that he would like to use all of both accessory buildings on the site. The <br />business would be operating out of a 3,750 sq. ft. accessory building (building A) and a 1,250 sq. <br />ft. accessory building (building B). The applicant has stated that building A will be used for office <br />
