METROPOLITAN COUNCIL STORMWATER GRANT <br />GRANTEE: Rice Creek Watershed District <br />GRANT NO. SG -05537 <br />PROJECT: Water's Edge Stormwater Reuse Project <br />GRANT PERIOD: December 31, 2018 <br />COUNCIL ACTION: 2016-121 <br />ESTIMATED PROJECT AMOUNT: $522,000 <br />MAXIMUM GRANT AMOUNT: $200,000 <br />GRANTEE MATCH: $322,000 <br />GRANT AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into by and between the Metropolitan Council <br />("the Council") and Grantee named above. <br />RECITALS <br />1. The Council is authorized by Minnesota Statutessecti n 473.505 to enter into <br />agreements with other government bodies and spend funds to im lement total watershed <br />management. This includes the authority to make grants to other gove ent bodies to implement <br />total watershed management. <br />2. The Metropolitan Council authorized its staff to enter into total watershed management <br />grant agreements with various local units of government for installation of storm water best <br />management practices that can be used as demonstrations of innovative storm water management <br />practices for the region. <br />3. Grantee has expressed an interest in installing, maintaining anmonitoring <br />effectiveness of the storm water best management practices. <br />4. Grantee represents that it has the technical capability and is duly qualified to implement <br />such best management practice and perform all services described in this grant agreement to the <br />satisfaction of the Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council and Grantee agree as follows: <br />Section 1. Definitions <br />1.01 "Project" means the entire work effort necessary to complete the Work Plan, <br />including all obligations of Grantee under this agreement. <br />
