Members of the Hugo Lions Club <br />will make a presentation to the YRN. <br />F.2 DUI Reduction Program Pilot Proiect — MN National Guard <br />The Yellow Ribbon Network has been having discussions with the MN National Guard <br />regarding the number of DWIs and DUIs incidences among veterans. Captain Troy Davidson, of <br />the MNNG Substance Abuse Program, will be at the meeting to explain the role of the Hugo <br />Yellow Ribbon Network in cooperation with local liquor license holders, law enforcement, and <br />other community partners in establishing a pilot project to reduce the numbers. Afterwards, a <br />meeting will take place among attendees to further discuss a program. <br />F.3 CenturyLink Expansion of Broadband Services — Director of Local Government <br />Affairs Kirstin Sersland <br />The City has been working with internet service providers to expand broadband to the rural <br />northeast portion of Hugo where homes are unserved or underserved. CenturyLink was <br />successful in securing Connect American Funds (CAF) to extend services to those areas. These <br />are federal funds for the purpose of accelerating the broadband buildout to areas that lack access <br />to infrastructure capable of providing 10/1 Mbps fixed broadband. Director of Local <br />Government Affairs Kirstin Sersland will be at the meeting to provide more information on the <br />buildout and answer any questions Council may have. <br />G.1 Approval of Claims <br />City staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />
