RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br />CALLING FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED <br />NORTH SUNSET LAKE AREA STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, by a motion passed by the council on October 3, 2016, the city engineer was directed to <br />prepare a Feasibility Report related to the improvement of the North Sunset Lake Area Street <br />Improvement Project. <br />WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement <br />is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection <br />with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a <br />description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: <br />The council will consider the improvement of <br />a. Homestead Avenue North from 1371 Street North to 132nd Street North <br />b. Homestead Drive North/130th Street North from 125th Street North to the cul-de-sac <br />C. 132nd Street North from Henna Avenue North to Isleton Avenue North <br />d. 126' Street North from Irish Avenue North to the cul-de-sac <br />and the assessment of affected property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of <br />$2,611,000. <br />2. A hearing shall be held on the 5' day of December, 2016, at City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Avenue <br />North on or after 7:00 p.m. to consider the improvements and at such time and place all persons <br />owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with <br />reference to the proposed improvements. <br />The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed project to be <br />published twice in the official newspaper, with the second notice to be at least three days prior to <br />the hearing. The city clerk shall state in the notice the area proposed to be assessed, the general <br />nature of the improvements, and the total estimated cost of the improvement.
