Minutes <br /> Par<s, Recreation, and Open Space Commissicn <br /> Meeting of October 12, 2016 <br /> Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> Call to Order <br /> Present: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, Ranelle Tennyson,Tom Windisch <br /> Absent: John Pontrelli, Mat Rauschendorfer <br /> Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director, Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner, Debi Close Parks <br /> Secretary <br /> Windisch called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm. <br /> Strub made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to approve the minutes of the August 10th, 2016 Parks <br /> Commission meeting as presented. <br /> All Aye. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The annual bus tour was held on Saturday October 15Y. Parks Commission Members who attended all agreed <br /> it was helpful seeing the new residential and commercial development. There was a good discussion on the <br /> street improvement projects, parks, and funding. <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner reviewed recreation programs that were held in 2016 including Movie Nights, <br /> Tech Tac Toe, Kidz N Biz, Park Play Days,Tour De Hugo and Fall Movie Night. An update was also given on <br /> partnerships with Washington County Library,the White Bear Lake Area Schools, CLASS, and others. <br /> Windish wanted to remind Park Commissioners of the City's contribution to the Oneka Elementary Gym to <br /> help with construction and to give opportunity to use the gym space for City programs/events. <br /> Additional expenses spent in 2016 included: purchasing a new bounce castle, contributing$1,500 to the <br /> Forest Lake YMCA. <br />
