RESOLUTION NO. 2016-36 <br /> A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br /> CALLING FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED <br /> NORTH SUNSET LAKE AREA STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS,by a motion passed by the council on October 3, 2016, the city engineer was directed to <br /> prepare a Feasibility Report related to the improvement of the North Sunset Lake Area Street <br /> Improvement Project. <br /> WHEREAS,the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is <br /> necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with <br /> some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of <br /> the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The council will consider the improvement of <br /> a. Homestead Avenue North from 13711 Street North to 132nd Street North <br /> b. Homestead Drive North/130" Street North from 1251 Street North to the cul-de-sac <br /> C. 132nd Street North from Henna Avenue North to Isleton Avenue North <br /> d. 126th Street North from Irish Avenue North to the cul-de-sac <br /> and the assessment of affected property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of <br /> $2,611,000. <br /> 2. A hearing shall be held on the 51h day of December, 2016,at City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Avenue <br /> North on or after 7:00 p.m. to consider the improvements and at such time and place all persons <br /> owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with <br /> reference to the proposed improvements. <br /> 3. The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed project to be <br /> published twice in the official newspaper,with the second notice to be at least three days prior to <br /> the hearing. The city clerk shall state in the notice the area proposed to be assessed, the general <br /> nature of the improvements,and the total estimated cost of the improvement. She shall also <br /> cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel in the proposed assessment area not <br /> less than ten(10) days prior to the hearing. <br /> Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br /> Council members voting NAY:None <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 7° ay f vember, 2016. <br /> 6� 1 30 <br /> Tom Weidt,Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
