L.1 Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein will report to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />activities held recently. <br />M.1 Approve Cancellation of January 16, 2017 Meeting Due to the Martin Luther King Day <br />Holiday <br />Every year, the Martin Luther King Holiday falls on same day as the Council's second monthly <br />meeting in January. In the past, Council has cancelled or rescheduled this meeting for the <br />following day. Staff has no agenda items for this meeting and recommends Council cancel its <br />regular meeting on January 16, 2017. <br />M.2 Council Goal Setting Session on January 17, 2017 <br />Annually, the Hugo Council holds a Goal Setting Session in January to develop goals and <br />priorities for 2017. Council has scheduled the Goal Setting Session for Tuesday, January 17, <br />2017 at 6:30p.m. <br />M.3 Schedule Hugo Fire Department Banquet for Saturday, January 21, 2017 <br />The Hugo Fire Department has scheduled their annual banquet to be held on Saturday, January <br />21, 2107 at the Split Rock Entertainment Center (formerly Stars and Strikes), 5063 273rd Street, <br />Wyoming. The event begins at 5 p.m. with social hour and dinner at 6 p.m. Staff recommends <br />Council schedule the Hugo Fire Department Banquet as a meeting if they wish to attend. <br />MA Approve Thursday, April 13, 2017 as Annual Board of Appeal & Equalization <br />Meeting <br />Each year, Council meets as the Board of Appeal and Equalization with the sole purpose of <br />providing Hugo residents and business owners an opportunity to appear personally in front of the <br />Board to discuss their property market valuations. Washington County Assessor Bruce Munneke <br />has selected Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. as the date and time on which to <br />hold the meeting. City staff recommends Council approve the date for the Board of Appeal and <br />Equalization meeting for April 13, 2017. <br />N. Adjournment <br />
