The more than 2,700 acre Carnelian <br />Creek Corridor Priority Conservation <br />Area is a mosaic of lake, wetland <br />and upland community types <br />connecting Big Marine, Mud, Turtle, <br />Long, Staples, Northern Terrapin, <br />Southern Terrapin, Mays, Clear, East <br />Boot, West Boot, Bass and Big <br />Carnelian lakes. <br />It contains aspen -oak land, oak <br />openings and barrens, Big Woods <br />(oak, maple, basswood, hickory), <br />wet prairies, conifer bogs and <br />swamps, and open water lakes. <br />The corridor is a host to Blandings <br />Turtle, the Common Snapping <br />Turtle, Eastern Fox, Milk Snake, Red - <br />shouldered Hawk, Bald Eagle, Rose - <br />Breasted Grosbeak and American <br />Woodcock. <br />Varner & Wilder Properties <br />"-v [framer Nature Center Build= Exchmon l - <br />^.x M Ear w Area <br />Wr rNature Center Land (424 acres) <br />., _.
