Trail Development Policy- PRORITIES <br /> • Not scheduled to be built with a road reconstruction project or land redevelopment in the near <br /> future. <br /> • Identified in the Parks, Trails and Sidewalks Plan. <br /> • Providing connections between neighborhoods and parks, schools, recreational areas, and/or <br /> commercial areas. <br /> • Providing connections to regional trails or other large trail networks to extend Hugo's trail system. <br /> • Minimal in physical barriers, such as: wetlands, significant slopes. <br /> • Enhancing safety for pedestrians in areas that have high traffic speeds, narrow roads, or <br /> uncontrolled intersections. <br /> • Requested by and of interest to Hugo residents. <br /> • Located on city-owned land or easement or land that is available through willing sellers. <br /> • Economical, providing a high impact with minimal financial investment. <br /> • Feasible and do not interfere with future improvements or development. <br /> • Widely utilized because of existing pedestrian uses or proximity to popular areas <br />
