MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN JOINT MEETING <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2017 <br />CITY HALL ONEKA ROOM <br />PRESENT: Klein, Petryk, Miron, Weidt <br />ABSENT: Haas <br />ALSO PRESENT: Landform Planner Kendra Lindahl, Landform Planner Mary Matze, City <br />Administrator Bryan Bear, City Engineer Mark Erichson, Planner Rachel Juba, Community <br />Development Assistant Rachel Leitz, Parks Planner Shayla Denaway. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Mayor Weidt. <br />The workshop was held jointly with members of the Planning Commission;- , Historical <br />Commission, and Parks Commission for the purpose of kicking -off the 2040 °° rehensive <br />Plan Update. A presentation was made by Lindahl outlining the statutory requirements, <br />Metropolitan Council submittal requirements, and major themes from the 2008 update. Small <br />group discussions were conducted focusing on Hugo's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and <br />threats followed by a large group discussion and summary of major themes. These discussions <br />led to the developing a draft of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Vision.
