7699 Anagram Drive
Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Westwood Main (952) 937-5150
Fax (952) 937-5822
westwoodps.com
(888) 937-5150
MEMORANDUM
Date: April 11, 2017
Re: Adelaide Landing Wetland Replacement Plan Application Response to
Comments
File 0008463.00
To: Tony Havranek, City of Hugo c/o WSB & Associates
Cc: Deb Ridgeway, OP Adelaide, LLC
Cory Meyer, Westwood Professional Services
From: Kelly Kunst
The following information is provided in response to the comments provided in an
April 11, 2017 email from Tony Havranek, WSB & Associates; WCA LGU for the
city of Hugo.
1. Boardwalk- Can you include language in Appendix B that requests a no -loss
for 8420.0415 subp.H as well as A since the installation will more than likely
have temporary impacts. Also provide more specifications on the boardwalk.
Response: The Applicant is also requesting a no loss under 8420.0415 subp. H
for temporary impacts associated with the boardwalk installation. High density
construction mats will be utilized for all ingress and egress into wetlands
associated with the boardwalk installation, as such, temporary impacts will be
limited to the effects to vegetation resulting from the placement of construction
mats over a period of time. These temporary impacts will be restored by the
removal of the mats within 6 months of the start of the activity which is
sufficient to restore pre -project functions as there will be no alteration to
elevations, contours, substrate or plant communities associated with this
activity.
Final boardwalk specifications have yet to be determined; however, the proposed
boardwalk is planned to be 8 -feet in width in accordance with City requirements for
recreational trails. The Applicant is currently working with the City to potentially
allow the width to be reduced to 5 feet for the boardwalk in the wetland.
Multi -Disciplined Surveying & Engineering
TBPLS Finn No. 10074302 westwoodps.com
