Community Development Director or designee that such additional parking spaces are <br />necessary to accommodate the use. <br />(5) Shared Parking. Parking facilities for a combination of buildings, structures, or uses may <br />be provided collectively in any zoning district provided that the total number of spaces <br />provided shall equal the sum of the separate requirements of each use. A lesser number of <br />parking spaces than required for each use may be allowed with approval by the Community <br />Development Director or designee, provided that each use is compatible in regards to peak <br />parking periods. Shared curb cuts and access drives shall be encouraged. Where shared <br />parking and accesses are utilized, easements and maintenance agreements shall be placed <br />on the shared areas and recorded against the properties. <br />(f) Shoreland District. <br />(1) Within the shoreland district of the City, parking areas, driveways, access roads and <br />loading areas shall meet the following: <br />a. Designed and constructed to make use of existing natural vegetation and topography to <br />screen such facilities from view of the public waterbody, as much as feasible. <br />b. Setback from the ordinary high water level (OHW) to the same extent required for <br />structures in subsection 90-137 (1). <br />c. Constructed to avoid bluff impact zones and shore impact zones. <br />(g) Prohibited Parking. <br />(1) Parking Restrictions for Vehicles and Trailers. <br />a. In order to expedite the prompt and efficient removal of snow from the streets of the <br />city it is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any vehicle or trailer or permit <br />the same to stand on any street within the city between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 <br />a.m. from November 1 until March 31 of the following year. At all times of the year it <br />is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any vehicle or trailer or permit it to <br />stand on any public street within the city between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. <br />after a continuous or intermittent snowfall, during which there has been an <br />accumulation of two inches or more of snow on any street, until the snow has been <br />plowed or removed to the full width of the street. <br />b. No person shall park any vehicle or trailer on any street within the City for an excess <br />of 72 hours. <br />c. Vehicles and trailers may be parked in the front yard, provided it is kept on an <br />established driveway, and is entirely on the equipment owner's property. <br />d. Within any residential zoning district, parking of any vehicle or trailer exceeding 9,200 <br />pounds licensed gross vehicle weight on any property or public street is prohibited, <br />except under the following conditions: <br />1. Vehicles lawfully delivering goods, products, or services to a property may be <br />parked for a reasonable period of time on the property or adjacent street to deliver <br />such goods, products or services. <br />Page 6 <br />
