Encroachment agreement to locate a deck within <br />a drai nage and uti I i ty easement on the property I ocated at 5370 157th Street <br />North. <br />DATE: June 9, 2017 for the Council Meeting of June 19, 2017 <br />1. PROPOSED MOTION: <br />Receive approval of an encroachment agreement for James and Amy Webb for a deck located at <br />5370 157th Street North for signature by Mayor and City Clerk. <br />2. OVERVIEW: <br />The applicant is requesting to construct a 10 x 14 foot deck to be located behind the home. At <br />the time of construction, a sliding glass door was installed with the idea that a deck could be <br />constructed at this location. A drainage and utility easement covers the majority of the rear yard <br />and begins five (5) feet behind the home. The deck would be located within the easement and <br />would extend approximately five (5) feet into the easement. Staff finds the deck would have no <br />negative impact on utilities or drainage in the area. <br />3. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve an encroachment agreement for James and Amy <br />Webb for signature by the Mayor. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
