BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS MINUTES - September 28, l988 Chairman Potts called the regular meeting to order at 6:30PM. PRESENT: Ellmann , Potts, Carole LaBelle Mr. John Gross, 9915 170th St. No. , has applied to the city for a variance to construct at 40' X 120' accessory building to be constructed closer to the road than his residence. Mr. Gross owns at 40 acre tract of land zoned agriculture. He currently has a 36' X 72' accessory building and a 30' X 30' attached garage. Accessory storage in an agricultural zone on tracts of 20 acres or more in size is unlimited . The building is 370' from the road . Motion made by Potts, seconded by Ellman to recommend approval of the site plan and variance for John Gross, 9915 170th St . No. to construct at 40' X 120' accessory building subject to the following conditions~ 1 . The use of both accessory buildings is strictly limited to uses subordinate to the principal uses of a residence and farming . No commercial venture shall operate from within these buildings. 2. Any subdivision to a lot size smaller than 20 acres shall be cause for removal of the 40' X 120' sq . ft. pole barn at the owners expense. 3. No subdivision shall be approved leaving the accessory buildings on separate parcels. 4. Applicant shall pay all fees relating to this request including the cost of recording with Washington County. All aye, motion passed . Paul Husnik , owner of Lot 2, Block 2, Bald Eagle Estates has applied to the city for at variance to construct an 896 sq . ft. garage, exceeding the allowable limit by 176 sq . ft. Motion made by Potts, second by Ellman to recommend approval of the variance request by Paul Husnik to construct at garage on Lot 2, Block 2, Bald Eagle Estates exceeding the allowable limit by 176 sq . ft.
