MINUTES FOR THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 24, 1997 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Andy Goiffon at 6:35PM. <br /> PRESENT: Goiffon and Rubenzer <br /> City Planner, Ed Elliott <br /> ABSENT: Bernard Brunotte <br /> Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the minutes for the meeting of <br /> August 27, 1997, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> VARIANCE (RUDY) <br /> Discussion with Burns Rudy and neighbor Jerry Rupkus about the location and use of the <br /> garage. A letter in support of the proposed location from the neighbor to the south <br /> (William and Kathy O'Mara). Further discussion on footings and tie downs. <br /> Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the 40 foot rear yard variance <br /> request of Burns and Therese Rudy, 7375 165th Street, to locate a 24 x 24 square foot <br /> garage 10 feet from the rear property. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> VARIANCE (MONTANARI HOMES) <br /> Discussion of background, including approval of Lowell variance in July, 1997. Mr. <br /> Elliott elaborated on staff discussion of an administrative approval of this type of home in <br /> Duck Pass, and the potential for recurring variance applications. These comments were to <br /> be forwarded to the City Council. <br /> Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the variance request of Montanan <br /> Homes to construct a 720 square foot lower level attached garage, in addition to the 760 <br /> square foot garage, at 8335 136th Street North, where code allows for a 1,000 square <br /> foot garage. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 7:02PM. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> Ed Elliott <br /> City Planner <br />
