It was agreed that the county will develop a response to the cities' proposal in advance of the meeting of the work group. The first task of the work group will then be to develop an agreement between the county and cities on the goals of an economic development strategy. It was decided that each participating city would designate one member to this work group, either an elected official or appointed staff member, and the county would designate a commissioner and staff member and would also convene the first meeting in January 2007. 1 am writing to request that each city provide me with the name and email address of the city's designee to this work group by December 22. Once we have the membership set, we will find a date, time and location for the first meeting. Please let me know if you have any questions.
