During our tour and visit of the studios we had the opportunity to learn more about public access programming and how the City of Hugo can use public access to further engage citizens. The SCC allows local governments and organization to use their studios and equipment without charge and also provides training at a nominal cost of $10/person/session. I propose we go ahead with the training starting on June 5th. The training will take roughly a month and a half to two months to complete looking at the existing schedule set up by the SCC. During the training period I plan on performing research on other cities to discover what has worked for them in regards to public access programs. This way we'll be able to provide a show that will be viewed by our citizens and worthwhile to produce. Actual time to produce the first show is not known at this time. However, as production begins on the City's first show, hours will be logged to determine how often the City would like the show produced. At this time I propose we plan one a month with the first show to air in September 2007. In addition to researching ideas, I am open to listening to ideas from any an all interested parties.
