MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF APRIL 16, 2007 <br /> EDA President Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 8:30 am. <br /> PRESENT: Jan Arcand, Jim Bever, Tom Denaway, Mikeynger, Phil Klein, and Brian <br /> Thistle, Fran Miron <br /> City Administrator Mike Ericson, CD Director Bryan Bear, Associate Planner Rachel <br /> Simone <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES EDA MEETING OF MARCH 19, 2006 <br /> Klein made motion, Thistle seconded, to approve the minutes for the EDA meeting of March 19, 2006. <br /> All aye. Motion carried. <br /> BLUE HERON GRILL <br /> There are two building pads in front of Festival Foods that are planned to be occupied by a bank and a <br /> restaurant. Currently United Properties is working with Chad Wagner on a site plan for the Blue Heron <br /> Grill. Staff invited Mr. Wagner to come to the EDA meeting to talk about his restaurant and give <br /> details about his business plan. Mr. Wagner gave an overview of his business plan for the restaurant <br /> and showed the EDA what the inside will look like. The EDA welcomed Chad Wagner and the Blue <br /> Heron Grill as a new business in the community. <br /> UPDATE ON TIF DISTRICT AND DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN <br /> At its Monday, April 2, 2007 meeting the City Council approved the adoption of the Downtown <br /> Master Plan. At the same meeting there was a Public Hearing on the TIF District,which was tabled to <br /> Monday, April 16, 2007. Staff updated the EDA on the outcome of the meeting. <br /> DISCUSSION ON APPRAISAL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5389 145TH STREET <br /> NORTH <br /> The City has been contacted by Murry Millman's conservator that his home located at 5389 145th <br /> Street North is for sale. The City purchased the house next door, the Schoeller property at 5399 145th <br /> Street,back in August for the future extension of Finale. The house will soon be placed on the market <br /> for $198, 000. As properties in the downtown area become available the City has been letting the EDA <br /> know about them. <br /> Phil Klein stated that he would not vote to purchase the property. Bever stated that is may be <br /> premature to start purchasing properties on 145th Street. <br />
