EXPIRATION. Every permit issued by the building official shall expire by limitation and <br /> become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced <br /> within 180 days from the date of such permit,or if the building or work authorized by such <br /> permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of <br /> 180 days. Before such work can be recommenced, a new permit shall be first obtained to do <br /> so,and the fee therefore shall be one half the amount required for a new permit for such <br /> work, excluding plan review fee,provided no changes have been made or will be made in the <br /> original plans and specifications for such work. <br /> The building official may grant, in writing, one or more extensions of time, for periods not <br /> more than 180 days each. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause <br /> demonstrated. <br /> EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW. Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 <br /> days following the date of application shall expire by limitation, and plans and other data <br /> submitted for review may thereafter be returned to the applicant or destroyed by the building <br /> official. In order to renew action on an application after expiration,the applicant shall <br /> resubmit plans and pay a new plan review fee. In the event of a hardship and at the discretion <br /> of the building official a new plan review fee may be waived. <br /> BUILDING PERMIT FEES <br /> TOTAL VALUATION FEE <br /> $1.00 to $500.00 $23.00 <br /> $23.50 for the first$500.00 plus$3.05 for <br /> each additional $100.00,or fraction thereof, <br /> to and including$2,000.00 <br /> $501.00 to $2,000.00 <br /> $69.25 for the first$2,000.00 plus$14.00 for <br /> each additional $1,000.00, or fraction <br /> thereof,to and including$25,000.00 <br /> $25,001.00 to $50,000.00 $391.25 for the first$25,000.00 plus $10.10 <br /> for each additional $1,000.00, or fraction <br /> thereof,to and including $50,000.00 <br /> $50,001.00 to $100,000.00 <br /> $643.75 for the first$50,000.00 plus$7.00 <br /> for each additional$1,000.00, or fraction <br /> thereof,to and including $100,000.00 <br /> $100,001.00 to $500,000.00 <br /> $993.75 for the first$100,000.00 plus $5.60 <br /> for each$1,000.00, or fraction thereof,to <br /> and including$500,000.00 <br />
