MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF OCTOBER 8, 2012 <br /> Miron called the meeting to order at 8:35 am. <br /> PRESENT: Arcand, Bever, Denaway, Miron, and Puleo <br /> ABSENT: Granger, Klein <br /> STAFF: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br /> Rachel Juba, Planner <br /> Liz Hanson, Community Development Intern <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF AUGUST 13, 2012 <br /> Arcand made motion, Denaway seconded, to approve minutes for the EDA meeting of <br /> August 13, 2012 <br /> All ayes. Motion carried. <br /> ASSOCIATED EYE CARE— 14688 EVERTON AVENUE <br /> Staff welcomed and introduced the representatives from the new business Associated Eye <br /> Care to the EDA. This business moved into the Healtheast Building located off of <br /> Everton Avenue. The representatives invited the EDA members to the ribbon cutting of <br /> their business that will occur on November 9, 2012. <br /> Denaway made motion, Bever seconded, to schedule attendance at the ribbon cutting. <br /> LAVALLE PROPERTIES CONCEPT PLAN <br /> Staff presented to the EDA a Concept Plan proposed on Marvin LaValle's properties that <br /> are located north of Frenchman Road and west of Lions Park. The plan proposes three <br /> multi-family residential buildings and an expansion to Lions Park. The EDA provided <br /> feedback regarding the general layout, Lions Park Expansion, housing types, road <br /> construction, and financing the road construction. <br /> DISCUSSION ON TH61 AND CSAH 4 (170TH ST) ROUNDABOUT CENTER <br /> ISLAND DESIGN <br /> Staff updated the EDA on the proposed design of the roundabout to be located at TH61 <br /> and CSAH4. Staff asked for feedback on the design and how to approach the funding <br /> options. The EDA provided feedback to only use the $10,000 offered by MnDOT, and <br /> make the necessary landscape revisions. <br /> Puleo made motion, Bever seconded, to only use the $10,000 offered by MnDOT, and <br /> make the necessary landscape revisions. <br /> UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />
