UPDATE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> WORKGROUP <br /> Staff informed the EDA that the workgroup had selected Springsted as the economic <br /> development consultant. During the meeting on Monday, September 9 Springsted staff <br /> outlined their plans for compiling dates for the study, and how they would be <br /> collaborating with the workgroup in the coming months ensuring completion of the <br /> study. <br /> UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br /> Staff met with a developer looking to develop parcels across from Lions Park. The <br /> development would consist of Senior Living facilities including memory care, assisted <br /> living, and independent living. A later phase of the development would include market <br /> rate rental housing. <br /> Staff continues to meet with Pete Sampair on the redevelopment of his property. <br /> Staff met with Premier Banks to speak with them about their land holdings within the city <br /> and potential for the future development of those parcels. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Denaway made a motion, seconded by Puleo, to adjourn at 6:20 pm. <br /> All ayes.
