CITY OF HUGO ADMINISTRATION MEMORANDUM TO: Mike Ericson, City Administrator FROM: Tom Denaway, Administrative Intern SUBJECT: EDA Commissioner Applicants DATE: September 2, 2004 As per your request here is a list of the applicants who have applied to serve on the board of commissioners of the newly re-organized Hugo EDA. Debi Burmeister—Local business owner and Hugo resident, who has been active with both local newspapers and various community organizations. Jim Bever—Local business owner and Hugo resident. Is president of an area landscaping company Theresa Charpentier—Hugo Resident who recently applied for a position on the parks commission. Has a B.A. in Marketing Management and a M.A. in Organizational Management. Currently is an adjunct professor for Concordia University. Nick Skarich—Hugo Resident, and Vice President with Northland Securities. He served as the contract director for the Grand Rapids EDA, and has served on other EDA boards as well. With NorthLand,he specializes in commercial loan syndications and the placement/sale of tax increment revenue notes. Scott Montgomery—Hugo Resident. Is currently serving on the White Bear Township Economic Development Advisory Board. Janice Arcand—Hugo Business owner. Served on the White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce for three years (97-99). Kevin Miller—Hugo Resident, is Chairman of the planning commission for the City of Shafer. Michael Compton—Hugo Resident. Is currently a student at Century College, and is in the process of developing a property management company. Phillip Klein—Hugo Resident. Currently serving on the Saint John's Parish Council.
