Minutes <br /> Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br /> Meeting of June 21, 2017 Hugo City Hall <br /> Present: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Roger Clarke,John Pontrelli, Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson <br /> Absent: Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid <br /> Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director; Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner; Debi Close, Parks <br /> Secretary <br /> Strub called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of Minutes from May Meeting <br /> Tennyson made a motion, Pontrelli seconded to approve the minutes of the May 17, 2017 Parks Commission <br /> meeting as presented. <br /> All Aye. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Oath of Office of Roger Clar<e <br /> Strub welcomed Rodger Clarke back to the Parks Commission. Clarke read and signed the Oath of office. <br /> 3. Comprehensive Plan Workshop <br /> Kendra Lindahl, Landform Inc,gave an update on the March 22, 2017 Parks Commission meeting and the <br /> Open House Workshop that was held on April 19, 2017. <br /> Discussion included: updates on policy documents/guidelines,greenway corridor, eastern Hugo natural <br /> resource management land use,trail connections, open house workshop responses, programming, <br /> partnerships, population statistics, facilities, open space plan, future parks plans, active living, dog parks,trail <br /> types and boundaries. <br /> The proposed updates include drafting policies to support the needs of the changing population. It will aslo <br /> include updating the maps to include newly constructed parks and trails, change neighborhood boundaries, <br /> reduce community park search areas, and add new proposed trail connections. Finally, in the plan update, <br /> tables and graphs will be used to provide information more clearly. <br />
