RESOLUTION 2018 - 8 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURSUANCE OF A COOPERATIVE <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />FOR THE COMMUNITY ROADSIDE LANDSCAPING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) wishes to provide technical <br />and financial assistance to communities that are interested in landscaping state highway rights of <br />way through the Community Roadside Landscaping Partnership Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has applied for technical and financial assistance for landscaping <br />the right-of-way areas approaching the round -a -bout located at TH 61 and 170th Street North; and <br />WHEREAS, MnDOT has established that they will give technical assistance and will fund up to <br />$10,000 for the cost of materials to landscape the right-of-way areas approaching the round -a- <br />bout located at TH 61 and 170`h Street North; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the proper City of Hugo <br />officers to pursue a cooperative agreement with MnDOT for technical and financial assistance <br />for the right-of-way areas approaching the round -a -bout located at TH 61 and 170th Street North. <br />ADOPTED by the City Council on May 7, 2018. <br />ATTEST: <br />"--� <br />JA,",� <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />e�e <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />
