RESOLUTION 2018 - <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING <br />THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PROPOSED <br />130TH STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, by a motion passed by the council on September 18, 2017, the city engineer was authorized to <br />complete a wetland delineation and soil borings and review potential ROW needs for the improvement <br />project. <br />WHEREAS, the adjacent Adelaide Landing development is responsible for 44% of the construction cost for <br />the reconstruction of 130th Street with the total estimated construction cost being $3,558,000, and <br />WHEREAS, the developer is responsible to provide the City with a financial guarantee to the City in the <br />form of a cash escrow or other payment method approved by the City in an amount of $521,840 for each of <br />the first three phases of the Adelaide development, and <br />WHEREAS, the City has approved the first two phases and will be in receipt of $1,043,680 from the <br />Adelaide Development for the reconstruction of 130th Street, and <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to move forward with the improvement of 1301h Street without utilizing the <br />429 process. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible. <br />2. WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer <br />shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. <br />Whereupon said resolution was moved for adoption by Council member and duly seconded by <br />Council member <br />Council members voting AYE: <br />Council members voting NAY: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 181h day of June, 2018. <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
