Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for June 4, 2018 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Receive Bids and Award Contract for the Oneka Lake Boulevard and Harrow Avenue <br />Improvement Proiect <br />At its April 16, 2018 meeting, the Council approved a resolution approving the plans and <br />specification for the Oneka Lake Boulevard and Harrow Avenue street improvement project and <br />ordering advertisement for bid. Assistant City Engineer Jay Kennedy informed Council the City <br />received four bids and recommended Council award the contract to the low bidder, North Valley, <br />Inc. in the amount of $764,657.16. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to approve RESOLUTION 2018-17 RECEIVING BIDS <br />AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE ONEKA LAKE BOULEVARD AND HARROW <br />AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />activities held recently. Haas shared many photos of activities of the YRN including care <br />packaging, gutter cleaning, Memorial Day, and coffee donations. They received a donation of <br />$100 for care packages and a "thank you" note for helping a family fix issues with mold in their <br />home. The Bald Eagle Sportsman Association recently held an open house and received nearly <br />$700 in donations to the YRN. The YRN received a request from an army veteran for the <br />purchase of a new bed. They assisted Chisago County YRN in helping with car repairs. Burger <br />night will be June 271h at the Legion from 5-8 p.m. <br />Hugo Good Neighbor Days June 7-10, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council of the 42nd Hugo Good Neighbor Days to be <br />held Thursday, June 7 — Sunday, June 10 at Lions Park. The Technicolor Run was scheduled for <br />Saturday at 9 a.m. with the parade following at 11. The Historical Commission display will be in <br />the Oneka Room on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5p.m. <br />Reschedule Performance Review for City Administrator Bryan Bear <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear added this item to the agenda to reschedule the date for his <br />performance interview due to a conflict the Mayor had with June I Ith <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to direct staff to cancel the June 11, 2018, meeting and select <br />a new date for Council approval at the next meeting. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
