PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE: <br />The Planning Commission reviewed and commented on the sketch plan at its July 28, 2018 <br />meeting. They were generally comfortable with the overall site layout, land use, and location for <br />the development. However, the commission would like to see changes made to the buildings <br />architectural design. <br />• The Commission wanted the applicant to remain focused on making sure the development. <br />blends well with its surrounding environment. <br />• The Commission showed focus towards the exterior design of the building. <br />• The Commission recommended that the applicant implement larger projections, more wall <br />and roof breaks, as well as additional features such as a wainscot. <br />• The Commission also recommended four-sided architecture, but realizes the back of the <br />building may not be seen easily. <br />• In addition, the Commission requests that the applicant provide turning templates and <br />measurements for the proposed underground parking lot within its future site plan. <br />The applicant has agreed to address the recommended changes. The applicant has also applied for <br />federal Housing Tax Credits and has stated that it must remain within the financial range of the <br />tax credits the applicant expects to receive from the Washington County Community Development <br />Agency (CDA). The applicant has recommended that adding greater variation in exterior design <br />
