BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY AUGUST 20, 2018 <br />D.1 <br />August <br />6, <br />2017 Council Meeting <br />D.2 <br />August <br />7, <br />2018 TGK Groundbreaking <br />D.3 <br />August <br />7, <br />2018 National Night Out <br />Staff recommends Council approve the above meeting minutes as presented. <br />F.1 Donation of Emagine Theatre Passes to Families of Deployed <br />Travis Joseph, Regional Events Manager of Emagine Theatres, will be presenting the Hugo <br />YRN family passes for 7 local families of deployed soldiers of the 347th Regional Support <br />Group. The donation was the outcome of the recent re -grand opening of the Theatre in White <br />Bear Township and owner, Jon Goldstein was gracious and supportive of our military and <br />happy to provide the passes. <br />G.1 Approval of Claims <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />G.2 Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Matt Klein <br />Public Works Worker Matt Klein was hired by the City of Hugo on August 27, 2012. Public <br />Works Director Scott Anderson recommends Council approve the Annual Performance Review <br />for Public Works Worker Matt Klein. <br />G.3 Approve Property Line Adiustment for 17300 and 17260 Keystone Avenue North <br />Joshua Kent, 17300 Keystone Avenue North and John and Mary Distler, 17260 Keystone <br />Avenue North, are requesting to adjust their common property lines to add an additional five <br />acres to Kent's current five acre parcel. The Distler parcel is currently 15 acres, and will be <br />reduced to ten acres. The property line adjustment will comply with all lot size and setback <br />requirements. Staff recommends Council approve the property line adjustment for 17300 and <br />17260 Keystone Avenue North. <br />GA Approve Special Event Permit for St. Andrews Church for Family Party at Oneka <br />Elementary <br />Pastor Brian Norsman from St. Andrew's Lutheran Church has submitted an application for a <br />Special Event Permit to hold a Family Party at the Oneka Elementary School on Sunday, <br />September 9, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. A SEP is required to be approved by Council because there <br />could be up to 200 people in attendance, and there will be amplified sound. There will be no <br />alcohol, but there will be food trucks for sample and purchase of food. In addition, there will <br />games and inflatables for the kids. Staff recommends Council approve the Special Event permit <br />for St. Andrews Lutheran Church Family Picnic. <br />
