Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for August 6, 2018 <br />Page 4 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Mechanic Dave Greeder <br /> <br />Dave Greeder was hired by the City of Hugo as the mechanic in the Public Works Department <br />on August 8, 2005. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review <br />for Public Works Mechanic Dave Greeder. <br /> <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Director Scott Anderson <br /> <br />Scott Anderson was hired by the City of Hugo on August 11, 2003 as a senior engineering <br />technician, and on August 5, 2008, Scott was promoted as the City’s Public Works Director. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for Public Works <br />Director Scott Anderson. <br /> <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Lead Worker Mike Loeffler <br /> <br />Mike Loeffler was hired as a maintenance worker for the City of Hugo’s Public Works <br />Department on August 5, 2002. On October 17, 2011, Mike was promoted to be the Public <br />Works Lead Worker. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review <br />for Public Works Lead Worker Mike Loeffler. <br /> <br />Approve Final Pay Request for Waters Edge Stormwater Reuse Project <br /> <br />In August of 2016, the City of Hugo entered in to a grant agreement with the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District and the Metropolitan Council for the Water’s Edge Stormwater Reuse <br />Project. The City of Hugo received $30,000 from the Rice Creek Watershed District and <br />$200,000 from the Metropolitan Council towards this project. The project consisted of the <br />construction of a stormwater irrigation system at the 30-acre Water’s Edge townhome area, <br />conserving an estimated 16.9 million gallons of groundwater annually. In the fall of 2017, the <br />construction of the Water’s Edge Stormwater Reuse system was completed and the only <br />remaining work to be completed was the installation of the electrical transformer and connection <br />to power. On July 3, 2018, Peterson Companies completed the startup of the Water’s Edge <br />Reuse system with Birch, the HOA’s irrigation contractor. Peterson Companies worked with <br />Birch to get the pump system specifically programmed for the HOA’s irrigation system. <br />Following this, on July 11, 2018, Peterson Companies conducted a successful startup of the reuse <br />system with representatives from the City, WSB, and RCWD in attendance. The City was now <br />in the process of completing the educational signage for the reuse project and plan to have this <br />installed as soon as possible. Staff had received the necessary contract closeout documentation <br />from Peterson Companies and recommended the acceptance of the improvements and payment <br />of the final voucher for the Water’s Edge Water Reuse Project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the Final Pay Request for the Waters Edge Stormwater Reuse Project in the amount of <br />$35,158.96. <br /> <br />Approve Pay Request No. 1 for Oneka Lake Boulevard/Harrow Avenue Improve ment <br />Project <br /> <br />The City received Pay Request No. 1 for work performed on the Oneka Lake Boulevard/Harrow <br />Avenue improvement project through July 31, 2018.
