Minutes <br /> Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br /> Meeting of August 15, 2018 <br /> Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> Present: Dave Strub, Roger Clarke, Cathy Moore—Arcand, Mat Rauschendorfer <br /> Absent: Nicole Schmid, Ranell Tennyson <br /> Staff Present: Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br /> Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> Pierre Guigere, Community Development Intern <br /> Debi Close,Secretary <br /> Strub called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of Minutes from the July 18, 2018 Meeting <br /> Moore—Arcand made a motion, Clarke seconded to approve the minutes of the July 18, 2018 Parks <br /> Commission meeting. <br /> All Ayes <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 2. Clearwater Creek Preserve Concept Plan <br /> Candace Amberg,Senior Landscape Architect with WSB&Associates presented three concept plans for <br /> Clearwater Creek Preserve. <br /> Concept one included a primary park entrance off of the future 140th Street extension, a small dog park, a <br /> looped trail and boardwalk system that included a separated equestrian trail on the west side of the park. <br /> Concept two included a main park entrance off of Fable Hill Circle North, a trail connection to Fenway <br /> Boulevard, shared-use trails on the western side of the park and primarily winter trails on the eastern side of <br /> the park. <br /> Concept three included multiple access points, parking lots on both the northern and southern end of the <br /> park, and an extensive network of pedestrian trails and boardwalks. <br /> Other options included a picnic shelter, exercise stations, a variety of trail surfacing options,grooming of <br /> winter trails. <br />
