Page 2 of 2 <br />Parks Commission Agenda <br />October 17, 2018 <br /> <br />Background <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of October 17, 2018 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> <br />Approve Minutes from September 19, 2018 Meeting <br />Staff recommends approval of the minutes of the Parks Commission meeting of September 19, 2018. <br />PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED MINUTES. <br /> <br />The Preserve on Sunset Lake Sketch Plan <br />At the meeting of June 20, 2018 the Parks Commission provided comments on a sketch plan submitted by <br />Cheldon Frank for a residential development now known as “The Preserve on Sunset Lake”. Discussion <br />included trails and dedication of park land adjacent to Sunset Lake. Frank has submitted an application and is <br />requesting approval for a Preliminary Plat and Planned Unit Development (PUD). The Preliminary Plat and <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD) includes 13 single family residential lots and 3 outlots to be known as “The <br />Preserve on Sunset Lake. The property totals 136.7 acres. Frank is proposing to dedicate .93 acres adjacent <br />to the city owned property on Sunset Lake for park dedication. The remaining park dedication fee would be <br />$28,704 to satisfy park dedication requirements. Frank is requesting that the fee be waived. Staff <br />recommends that the Parks Commission require the land and fee dedication be made. <br />PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED MEMO. <br /> <br /> <br />November Meeting Date <br />The regularly scheduled Parks Commission meeting will fall on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving on <br />November 21. Staff recommends that the Parks Commission change the date of their next meeting to <br />Wednesday, November 14. <br /> <br />Recreation Program Updates <br />Princess Party November 3 <br />
