3. CONCLUSION: <br />Currently, the use of an alternate member is not mentioned within the Parks Commission or the <br />Planning Commission ordinance. Staff has drafted an amendments to the ordinance to allow the <br />use of alternate members on the Commissions. <br />The EDA membership structure is not included in a section of the City Code, however it is in <br />their bylaws. Staff drafted an amendment to the bylaws to allow the use of alternate members on <br />the Commission. At its August 21, 2018, meting the ED ^ passed a resolution approving the <br />amendments to the bylaws. <br />4. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommended approval of the draft ordinance and bylaw amendments to the Commissions. <br />5. RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />At its September 19, 2018, meting The Parks Commission reviewed the amendments. The Parks <br />Commission recommended approval to amend the ordinance to allow an alternate member. <br />At its September 13, 2018, meting the Planning Commission reviewed the amendments. <br />Planning Commission recommended approval to amend the ordinance to allow an alternate <br />member. <br />5.
