Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for October 15, 2018 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to authorize the City Attorney to sign the Stipulation for <br />Contested Case Hearing on the DNR's Amendments to Hugo Water Appropriations Permit. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />activities held recently. Haas showed photos of a soldier's family saying the YRN contributed <br />$2,000 to assist them while his wife was having brain surgery. There was also a photo of <br />volunteers who presented a check to the YRN for $4,250 from the Lions Club golf outing. The <br />YRN had received many "thank yous" for care packages, and they were recently contacted by <br />the MN National Guard who had nominated the Hugo YRN for an award. The YRN helped a <br />family with HVAC repairs and helped with the Veterans' Day celebration at Keystone Place. A <br />Welcome Home Pheasant Hunt will be held on December 8, 2018, and October Burger Night <br />will be sponsored by the Creekside Villas Townhome Association. <br />Xcel Energy Training Town Grand Opening Wednesday, October 17, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council of the meeting scheduled to attend the Xcel <br />Energy Training Town Grand Opening on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. <br />Lions Park Grand Opening Wednesday, October 17, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council of the meeting scheduled to attend the Grand <br />Opening of Lions Park on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the <br />completion of the installation of new playground equipment. <br />Historical Commission "Those Were the Days" Event Monday, October 22, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council the Historical Commission was holding a <br />"Those Were the Days" event on Monday, October 22, 2108, from 5:30 — 8 p.m. The <br />Commission invited the public to bring albums, photos, documents, and artifacts to City Hall. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a meeting to attend the "Those Were the <br />Days" event on Monday, October 22, 2018. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Schedule Board of Canvass for Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council the General Election will be held on Tuesday, <br />November 6, 2018, and the results of the voting would need to be certified by the City Council <br />acting as the Board of Canvass. The meeting needs to be held between 3rd and 1 Oth day following <br />the election. <br />
