Public Works staff is seeking Council <br />authorization for the replacement of the existing 2005 trailer. If approved by the City Council, <br />this piece of equipment would be purchased using a Mn/DOT contract through the Cooperative <br />Purchasing Venture (CPV) assuring that the City of Hugo will receive the best price available <br />while providing us with the necessary options to choose from. Staff recommends the City <br />Council authorize the purchase of an asphalt patching trailer as outlined in the quote from Stepp <br />Manufacturing dated November 20, 2018. <br />H.1 Public Hearing on City Budget and Tax Lew <br />State statutes require the City Council to hold a public hearing on the proposed city budget and <br />tax levy for the 2019 fiscal year. Finance Director Ron Otkin will present the budget and tax <br />levy to the Council prior to taking public comment. At the conclusion of the public hearing staff <br />recommends adoption of the following resolutions: Resolution Approving the General Fund <br />Budget for the 2019 Fiscal Year, Resolution Approving the Final Tax Levy Payable in 2019, and <br />Resolution Relating to the Termination of Tax Increment District No. 1-1. <br />M.1 City Holiday Party on Thursday, December 13, 2018 <br />The Council has scheduled a meeting to attend the City Holiday Party on Thursday, December <br />13, 2018, with social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30. p.m. The event will be held at the <br />Hugo American Legion. <br />M.2 City Hall Offices to be Closed on Monday, December 24, 2018 <br />The City Personnel Policy provides each employee with a personal holiday every year. City <br />employees are requesting to use this personal holiday on Monday, December 24, 2018 and close <br />City Hall. Staff recommends Council approving the closing of City Hall on Monday, December <br />24, 2018. <br />
