Comprehensive Plan
Hugo's comprehensive plan includes a focus to promote the development of low to moderate
income housing for city residents. This plan is intended to maximize the city's ability to develop
affordable and life cycle housing to promote efficient and well -integrated development.
Land Use
The property is guided Medium Density Residential (MD) in the 2030 Land Use Plan. In addition, 12 units per acre is allowed with a
Planned Unit Development (PUD).
C. Current Zoning
The site is zoned Medium Density Multifamily Residential (R-5). Multifamily Building and Site Design Guidelines
In 2005, the City adopted Multi -family Design Guidelines. The intent of the guidelines is to
articulate the vision of the City to ensure high quality multi -family units are constructed. These
guidelines are to be utilized with the existing 2030 Comprehensive Plan and City Zoning Code.
The applicant has only provided the building elevations for the front of the building facing south.
The elevations illustrate the building having windows of various shapes and sizes.
