MINUTES FOR THE HUGO EDA <br />2040 COMPREHENSIVE — ULI WORKSHOP <br />TUESDAY, MAY 16, 2017 <br />CITY HALL ONEKA ROOM <br />PRESENT: Denaway, Gallivan, Houle, Klein, Petty, Puleo, and Weidt. <br />ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: Landform Planner Kendra Lindahl, Landform Planner Mary Matze, City <br />Administrator Bryan Bear, Planner Rachel Juba, Community Development Assistant Rachel <br />Leitz. <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:05 pm by Mayor Weidt. <br />The workshop was held jointly with members of the Planning Commission, EDA, and Parks <br />Commission for the purpose of attending a Navigating Your Competitive Future workshop held <br />by ULI Minnesota. The Commissions listened to a presentation provided by ULI staff on <br />demographic trends, market preferences, and future growth patterns with the realities of the <br />market place. After the presentation, four panelists were asked to answer questions about Hugo <br />in regard to economic development. The panelists included, Eden Spencer, Greater Metropolitan <br />Housing Corporation, Chris Eng, Washington County HRA, Sara Joy Proppe, Schafer <br />Richardson, and Keith Ulstad, United Properties. <br />The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:00 pm. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Rachel Juba <br />Planner <br />
