Background <br />• <br />■ <br />Tel: 612-252-9070 <br />Fax: 612-252-9077 <br />www.landform.net <br />As part of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan update, the City has held several meetings with residents, <br />Commissions, and Council to gather feedback and understand community priorities. As a result of <br />the feedback, staff has been meeting with individual property owners and neighborhood groups to <br />understand specific Land Use issues. <br />Staff met with the Planning Commission on June 1, 2017 to provide a summary of findings from the <br />Open House and the Council and Commission Kickoff. <br />The purpose of the August 10th meeting is to: <br />1. Review and approve the proposed study areas <br />2. Affirm the recommended direction proposed by staff. <br />On October 12, 2017, the Planning Commission will review a draft of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan <br />and on December 14, 2017 the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the final <br />document. <br />2. Summary <br />Land Use Study Areas and Land Use Issues <br />Since June 1, 2017 staff has identified a preliminary list of land use study areas. These are specific <br />locations that should be reviewed as part of the Land Use Plan update. Several landowners also <br />have requested that the City consider specific changes to the status of their property. Possible <br />changes might include the future land use designations or utility staging. The following is a list of <br />potential land use study areas, which are also identified on the attached Land Use Study Area Map: <br />Landform®, SensiblyGreen° and Site to Finish° are registered service marks of Landform Professional Services, LLC. <br />
